So, you want to be a parent…?

Here’s a quick guide to what is involved in having a medic child:

What?

You had your chance to be a medic kid, now is your chance to have your very own! We ask that all parents remain mindful and respectful of their responsibilities as parents. While we don’t expect much from you, we ask you to approach families with the same kindness and compassion you would show as a medic. DUMS hosts three official medic family events per year – Meet the Parents, Gaudie and Raisin. And, of course, we encourage you to meet up with your family at other points throughout the year!

Why?

Adopting medic kids is a crucial part of our community at Dundee! These families provide our freshers with a safe place to turn to for advice and support as well as having students in years above to show them the lay of the land and how to have a good time.

Who?

You and your medic spouse(s) will be assigned a medic child(ren) on just after freshers’ fayre on the 11th of September. They will be your kids for events throughout the year!
